Sidai Designs

Founded in 2011, Sidai Designs is a social enterprise working with over 50 women artisans in the Maasai community in and around Arusha, Tanzania.
Sidai’s mission is to build an organization that provides a sustainable income to marginalized Maasai women.

Through their jewelry and accessories, they aim to preserve and revive the rich Maasai beading traditions through ancient techniques and designs, mixed with a modern flare.

Women within a Maasai community lack the power to make any decisions about their own lives. They have very limited access to education, girls as young as 12 can be forced into marriage.

Sidai aims to empower women with employment, income, skills training, literacy classes and medical contributions.
